Tapeworks employs several different slitting methods depending on the product and end use. The two basic types of slitting are rewind and single knife. Each provides unique benefits to the customer.
Slitting Methods Used
- Rewind- For long rolls and materials which easily cross tear
- Single knife/Lathe- For short runs, odd widths and tight tolerances.
Rewind slitting is employed for long length rolls, materials which easily cross tear, such as UPVC, polyester films or foils. Tapeworks uses both razor and score knives for rewind slitting.
Single knife and lathe slitting is the preferred method for short runs, odd widths and tight tolerances. We use both bayonet and circular knives on the lathes to insure the highest quality cut achievable.
Tapeworks can hold width tolerances of +/- 0.005 inches with either of these slitting methods.

We have the ability to print on a wide variety of pressure-sensitive products, self-wound tapes and label stocks. Tapeworks uses a three-color, flexo-press to print polyester, UPVC paper, cloth and foils.
We also print liner with instructions or with your company logo to customize die cut parts.
Quotation requests are turned around quickly so that you may determine the feasibility of your project in a timely manner.
Printed tapes can be used as inexpensive advertising for your company, as inventory tags, product labels or a variety of other uses, limited only by your imagination. Call us to discuss your specific application.

We have the ability to laminate and die-cut an endless combination of materials including films to foil, paper to film, foil to cloth and more. Die cutting these materials to specific shapes and sizes solves problems associated with difficult configurations. These laminates and die-cut parts can be supplied in convenient roll, sheet and individual packages.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive systems of acrylic, rubber or silicone are matched with the appropriate backing constructions to provide the optimum desired characteristics.
Rotary die cutting equipment allows us to cut large quantities of products quickly, precisely, and efficiently. And CNC technologies now make even smaller quantities feasible.
