There are three main types of masking tape. Each one has a unique and specific role to play. Discover the difference to keep waste at a minimum and productivity at a maximum.
Tapes are for everyone. Even our specialty tapes aren’t reserved for businesses. In reality, tapes hold it together to keep your favorite athletes moving – and we’re not talking about injury-focused kinesiology tape.
Here’s how athletes use different tapes in their respective sports:
Lead foil tape balances tennis and pickleball rackets. It’s also used to weight golf clubs, which have grips held in place by double-faced paper tape.
Hockey players cover their sticks in cloth tape and use it to hold their socks up. In the same fashion, soccer players apply it to their socks and cleats.
Bowlers place die cut tapes inside the finger holes of their bowling balls to change the surface characteristics. Some prefer smooth tapes while others use textured.
Racers – in both cars and boats – apply cloth tape to their vehicles for quick repairs and temporary seals. Foil tapes are also used to keep heat away from places that need to remain cooler.
If you play a sport, we have a tape that can help you swing more accurately, kick straighter, move faster, or keep cooler…because Tapeworks!
PRO TIP:
If you’re not familiar with tape uses in sports, don’t go to just any retailer. Find someone who knows the specialty applications of tapes in your sport.

Ready or not, winter is coming. That means it’s time to look around your facility and assess what needs to be done before the snow starts flying. When considering where to start, there are a few cost-effective options that make a big visual impact:
Aisle Marking Tapes: These are colored vinyl tapes with an aggressive rubber adhesive. Aisle marking tapes can be solid colors or colors with black or white diagonal stripes. These tapes are ideal for marking aisles, designating areas to separate products, or marking obstacles for enhanced visibility.
Anti-Slip Tapes: This tape features an anti-slip grit to prevent dangerous skidding in spaces such as ramps, wet areas, and around entryways. It is available in various colors and with stripes. Roll sizes are customizable, allowing you to cut based on the specific area requirements. Optionally, the material can be pre-cut to create a nice clean look for applications such as stairways.
